ParentalRights.org Rally in Dallas, TX - Saturday, March 1, 2008

ParentalRights.org is pleased to announce a special informational rally on Saturday, March 1 to hear Michael P. Farris, J.D. speak on the important topic of eroding parental rights in the U.S. This issue affects EVERY PARENT IN AMERICA.

For years, the Supreme Court has recognized that parents have a fundamental right to raise their children as they see fit, but that support is being steadily undermined by judges across the country who are denying the vital role of parents in the lives of their children and instead, are inserting the government into a “parental” role in the lives of America’s children. Please do not miss this special opportunity to hear Farris’s SOLUTION, which he describes as “the battle of the century for every parent in America.”

Invited:
ALL Parents and concerned citizens in Texas and surrounding states

Date:
Saturday, March 1, 2008

Time:
7:00-9:30 p.m.

Location:
Fellowship Bible Church
9330 North Central Expressway, Dallas, TX 75231
(Hwy 75/ Park Lane; NE corner behind Bed, Bath & Beyond)

  • Parents have the right to raise their children as they see fit without invasive government meddling. At the same time, the government has a right to get involve when there is preceived danger to a child. The goal here should be to protect the child from danger but not to dictate to the parents that their values and other cultural influences are wrong.

  • No, my family was not saved. We live in the great state of PA. My son was taken from me, in his sleep, well, they woke him up, after I had brought him home due to our local hospital injecting him with something unknown, without my permission, he was screaming, crying, terrorized, while a gang of ambulance employees, along with the police and the Children and Youth Workers all stood in my mother’s apartment, trying to seize the frightened, scared out of his wits child, quivering in the furthest away corner he could get to. But they got him, and he was put it a mental institution, for A WEEK, in ANOTHER STATE!!!!! I got him back, even though their plan was to put him in a foster home, but there was no basis for it. The court tried to give my son to his father, who lives somewhere unbeknownst to us but purjured himeself in court and gave his parents’ address(who knows, maybe they were behind it all, as they have money)but he said no, he should be with me, he was there to support me, he said. He did mention all he wanted was for my son to go to school, so for me, that was a clue. Even the psychiatrist in the mental facility recommended he be released to me, and they STILL tried to put him in a foster home, but there was just no basis. The social service folks and the court got their way, I was forced to agree to all their terms to get him back. Social workers in and out of our home practically every day of the week.So the story about Germany, heck, it’s just as bad here, you just don’t hear about it. I begged HSLDA for help; however, I was told they didn’t take “my kind” of case. I had our state’s attorney on the phone when they came here to take my son, and the attorney told me I had to let them take him. All they had was three sheets of paper, that was enough to take away my son, to tear my family apart. Are my son and I not children of God, why were we not the kind to be defended? I guess because we were forced to take public help, because we didn’t have money. I can sign a petition for parent’s rights, but a certainly can’t donate. I do wish HSLDA would publish more about what happens in this country, because in my opinion, it is just as bad, and I am glad to hear there are others who are aware of this, too.

  • To correct a statement made earlier, government has the responsibility to get involved when the law has been broken, or when there is a substantiated threat to a child’s welfare - that’s it. Government has no rights, but is charged under our Constitution only with enforcing the law. And, reinterpretation our laws is where much attention has been placed, hence Mr. Farris’ concerns. If we’re not careful, not only will we lose parental rights by legislative and judicial process, but also Constitutional protections covering illegal search and seizure. Our Founders never intended for government to have this level of control. But, as John Adams said, “This Constitution is meant to govern a moral and religious people. It is unsuitable for anything else”. A growing contingent of Americans are neither moral or religious. Hence why we are where we are today.

  • I wish I had known about this rally sooner so I could attend. I’m in CO the MOST corrupt state! My 3 children were removed under hearsay & false allegations. They were given to my mother & her lesbian ‘partner’. DHS believed they are better. It didn’t matter that my husband & I have been married almost 20 years and have NEVER abused any of the kids! We even completed their ’service plan’, jumped thru all the hoops, hired a worthless attorney who refused to allow evidence in our favor at the custody hearing. We both work full time & I am 3 classes away from my Bachelor’s Degree! This case is an outrage. The judge and one of the caseworkers (who is friends with my mom & partner) are sexual deviants. We really need some GOOD legal help. I am from Dallas & I don’t think this case would have developed there!
