Why punish all of the parents and children for one family! Parents who are trying to give their children a better chance in the world. School systems are broke!

IT IS PAST TIME TO UNITE OUR EFFORTS TO FULFILL THE DREAMS OF OUR FATHERS AND OUR FOREFATHERS FOR A LAND WHERE FREEDOM IS NOT A FOUR-LETTER-WORD BUT IT IS THE REASON CHRIST HAS SET US FREE (GAL5:1 IT IS FOR FREEDOM THAT CHRIST SET US FREE; THEREFORE KEEP STANDING FIRM AND DO NOT BE SUBJECT AGAIN TO A YOKE OF SLAVERY). AFTER BEING PART OF MY BIOGRAPHY FOR THE PAST 62 YEARS I HAVE LEARNED THAT IF WE WISH TO ABIDE UNDER THE COVERING OF THE ALMIGHTY WE MUST EXPOSE THE EVIL EMPIRES THAT ARE OBSTRUCTING THE PROPAGATION OF THAT COVERING. MASQUERADING AS POLITICAL MESSIAHS THEY DECEIVE THE UNSUSPECTING INTO THINKING THAT TO OBEY JESUS CHRIST IS A MISUSE OF FREEDOM, BUT IT IS LAWFUL TO DISOBEY JESUS CHRIST. AS THE BIBLE SAYS THEY ARE “WILLFULLY IGNORANT” (DUMB ON PURPOSE).
SINCE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA HAS THE WORD “UNITED” IN IT, I AM ASSUMING THAT UNITING FOR THE ABOVE PURPOSES WILL BE APPLAUDED IN ALL PARTS OF THE CAMP; BUT AFTER 62 YEARS OF STUDYING PEOPLE I AM WELL AWARE OF THE FACT THAT SOME OF THE RECIPIENTS OF THIS NOTICE WILL NOT BE MOVED BY MY PLEA FOR UNITY.
IF YOU ARE MOVED BY MY HUMBLE INTRODUCTION PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION ON THIS WEB SITE. ON BEHALF OF MYSELF, MY WIFE, MY FATHER, MY FRIENDS, MY ASSCIATes, MY GOD AND ALL THE SAINTS THAT HAVE GONE BEFORE US; THANK YOU FOR YOUR SINCERE CONCERN.
Well, at least it’s finally getting some media coverage! I can’t believe how silent this has been kept.
If the state supreme court upholds this ruling, I’m moving. Period. This is ridiculous.

The really crazy part is that the NEA is concerned because homeschooling could create siutations which under educate or neglect children. HELLO! EARTH TO NEA! Have you looked at the condition of public schools lately? Talk about under educated and neglected! Secondly, the people of a state are to be the watchdogs who keep the government education system (along with school boards, administrators and teachers) inline. “We the people” are to police “them the State”. Not vice versa!

Greg - NEA doesn’t care about the condition of the schools, only what they can get in their pockets in the way of funds and to look for ways on how to indoctrinate our children with their agenda. It is definitely a plan of the devil. Every election has some sort of bill that they want passed to put millions of dollars back into the schools. Where does the money go? Our schools should be in tip-top shape by now and with the lottery funds, they should be among the top in the world, but that money doesn’t go toward the schools. It’s all about their agenda and what they want our children to learn from godless people in a godless society. Christian parental rights are trying to be taken away as well as the rights of non-Christian parents.

From experience I know that a parent’s education has nothing to do with their ability to homeschool. A mother with no college education saw her two daughters begin college in their Junior year of high school. They were successfully homeschooled. I’m sure there are homeschool failures out there, but there are failures in the public school system too. I know of a 16 year old who was retained in elementary school and is currently repeating eighth grade for the third time in public school. What do the courts say about that? Or a fifth grade child I met who didn’t even know the alphabet. While the child was being transferred from one school to another (which took two months) I worked with the boy and he learned not only the alphabet but was reading. I have recently ‘retired’ from homeschooling. To homeschool was the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done. My sons are prepared to take their place in the world. The oldest is awaiting entrance into the military and the youngest is enrolled in on-line college and also plans to enter the military. Both boys are given many opportunities for work and service at their church because they learned through homeschool to be responsible. The youngest (still high school age) leads a youth Bible Study and plays the guitar in the praise team. Seeing them take on adult roles proves to me that homeschooling works.

I am 16 years old and I am also a home schooler I beleive that California has no right to pass that law, but I am thankful that it was abolished on March 27 until June. Homeschooling moms should have right whether or not to homeschool their children without a degree.

The “State” - which, in this case includes not only the state, but the Federal Government, has outreached its bounds - IF parents are truly upset about this, then it’s time to UNITE - and not only be free to homeschool - but to RECLAIM CONTROL of ALL Public Schools!
The NEA - stated outright at its annual convention a couple of years ago that their aim was for “Universal Day Care” and “Universal Pre-School”. They also stated that the reason for this was to get the children away from their parents - BEFORE THE PARENTS CAN TEACH THEIR CHILDREN ‘MORAL VALUES’ - and that horrid thing - religious instruction!
PARENTS UNITE! You CAN take back control of the schools….we MUST get RID OF NEA! Convince ALL teachers that htey are getting no real value from that godless, satanic union….in fact, without it, they would get to keep all those monies they now pay in dues!
But we must start going to Board of Ed. meetings - EN MASSE! OUR Constitutional rights are being violated every day under the principle of “separation of church and state” - and children are not even taught Early American History - because the Name of God is in early founding documents! WHAT? and now some schools are indoctrinating OUR children into Islamic jihad - under the guise of “cultural studies”. They not only cannot mention the Name of God, but many teachers are countering whatever good values you are trying to teach them at home. Our children are being taught to experiment with sex freely - and frequently - and even to ‘experiment’ with homosexual affairs! Schools are not allowed to even mention a ‘normal’ family - (with a Mom and Dad) - but CAN AND IN SOME CASES MUST - push the idea of a “family” with two moms or two dads!
THIS IS A SEVERE VIOLATION OF OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS. Please remember, the First Amendment guarantees not only the Freedom of Religion - but also the “…free exercise thereof.” RECLAIM YOU RIGHTS! RECLAIM THIS NATION! When it was a nation of Laws and Freedoms UNDER GOD, there were no children slaying children and teachers! we have kicked God out - and some teachers are teaching kids that religion is a mental disease! HOW CAN WE EXPECT STRONG, MORAL behaviour when they are indoctrinated like this?
PRAY for this nation - but more than that - UNITE AND STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS AND YOUR CHILDREN! They are the future of this nation….and if you DON’T teach them a STRONG BELIEF IN GOD, YOU are guilty of neglect in the eyes of the MOST IMPORTANT Judge you’ll ever face - God, Himself!

I stand strong for my right to educate my own child…even though I may be seen as a “godless” person from a “godless” society in some people’s eyes. I liked seeing the word “unite” a lot in these comments. We all have our reasons for home-schooling. Let’s focus on what unites us; a passionate desire to be involved in our own children’s educations. Let us please not throw labels around, potentially alienating those who need to be our allies at this crucial time.
I guess NEA hasn’t taken a good look at the SAT and ACT scores of homeschoolers, if they are afraid of “under-education”.
